Tell me a little bit about yourself?
Hey, my name is Nico Heinrich, I am 26 and living in Cologne (Germany). I enjoy taking photos and let the creativity flow.
How did you develop your interest in photography?
I would say it came with the very classic story … my grandmother gave me an old Canon AE1 a few years ago and then it all started. I enjoyed going outside and trained my eyes to see different forms or motives in nature.
If you had no restrictions at all, who would you be?
Who I would be? Like which person? To be honest I don’t want to be somebody else …
How is your personality reflected in your work?
I think there are some little details if you look closely. I try to catch people in their purest moments while shooting. When they feel comfortable the most and let go all the feelings around themselves, those moments create a very specific expression in a photo.
What’s your all time favourite film ?
Puhhh.. hard question. It depends on in what light situation I want to shoot but I really love the iconic Kodak Gold.
Why do you shoot analogue?
I’ve never shot digital yet, so I started analogue and directly fell in love with it. I would say it’s because the process, the time you put in and all the love you get from it at the end. You’ll never get the style from an analogue photo with the edit of a digital photo.. my words haha..
